| Description: | Candidate will spend time in a classroom setting and on the job training. Trainees are required to pass a training course. |
| Duties: | Machinist trainee - work with a qualified machinist to learn to setup, monitor, run a cnc lathe. Will be required demonstrate ability to use micrometers, calipers and other precision instruments. Assist machinists during the time they are on the floor gaining practical experience by learning about tooling, machining inserts, abrasives, drilling and tapping. |
| Qualifications: | Must have High School Diploma or GED. Candidates should posess a strong desire to learn the skills necessary to become a class A machinist, use a computer, calculator, read blueprints, maintain schedules. Shop math or a good understanding of math concepts is very helpful. |
